At Otsuka Ramen, the menu reads like a love letter to Japanese culinary craftsmanship. Fans rave about dishes such as the Wagyu Tonkotsu Ramen, where rich, savory broth meets tender, melt-in-your-mouth Wagyu beef—an indulgence that's delicately balanced and deeply satisfying. The Spicy Miso Ramen ignites your palate with its bold, aromatic flavors, perfectly complemented by fresh, springy noodles.
For those who enjoy a variety of textures and flavors, the Takoyaki offers crispy-on-the-outside, gooey-on-the-inside octopus balls, while the Karaage Chicken presents juicy, golden fried chicken bites with an irresistibly crisp crust. Don't miss the Pork Chashu Bowl, a hearty dish featuring delicately braised pork belly layered over steamed rice—a perfect harmony of tenderness and umami.
Otsuka’s menu also caters to vegetable lovers with options like the vibrant Nagoya Tonkotsu Vege Lover and crisp Vegetable Gyoza, showing that their passion for quality extends beyond traditional meat dishes. Delightful appetizers such as Gyoza, Shrimp Tempura, and Fried Shrimp Shumai provide a wonderful start to any meal, offering enticing layers of flavor and texture.
The commitment to excellence is evident not only in the food but also in the attentive service. Patrons frequently praise the staff’s friendly yet unobtrusive hospitality, which enhances the overall experience rather than overshadowing it. Whether welcomed by Destiny’s warm smile or the consistent professionalism highlighted in multiple reviews, guests feel valued and well cared-for throughout their visit.
Beyond the food, Otsuka Ramen creates a genuine sense of community. The inclusion of familiar faces on the TVs and the shared ownership with Kyoto Ramen nearby create a local connection that diners appreciate. Longtime customers celebrate the evolving quality and warm atmosphere that has only grown better with time—testament to Otsuka’s dedication to their craft.
When you dine at Otsuka Ramen, you’re not just eating; you’re embarking on a flavorful journey through rich broths, delicate dumplings, crispy tempura, and savory chashu, all presented with care and passion. If you’re ready to experience the best of Japanese ramen in a welcoming, atmospheric space with impeccable food and service, Otsuka Ramen awaits you at 6800 N Dale Mabry Hwy Suite 190.
Otsuka is quiet, atmospheric, comforting, and a wonderful place to go whether you are celebrating or need someplace to regroup after life happens. The prices are reasonable, the food amazing, the staff helpful but not cloying or pressing. When my wife has had a hard day, I recommend Otsuka and it’s always a winner.
Love the Ramen! Best one I’ve been to yet. the service from destiny was amazing. Definitely recommend.
I first tried this Tampa Bay ramen spot over three years ago when there was way less ramen options in the area. Since then, they have only improved in taste, atmosphere, and hospitality. The shop is super cozy, mostly booths, with some of my favorite Youtubers on the TVs (including Rambalac). Not many people know that Kyoto and Otsuka ramen, both on Dale Mabry, have the same owner. Once you try both, it's easy to notice, even though the menu is slightly different. Since most people in Florida are ramen critics, that's all I'll say about that. Japan has many different types of ramen, depending on region and seasonal ingredients. Definitely recommend trying as many different kinds as possible before forming a strong opinion. They also have a Valrico, FL location.
This is my second time @ Otsuka Ramen, and the service has been consistent. Fast and professional. The food had rich flavor and filled us up.
I always have a great experience here! The ramen is rich and well seasoned, and their wings are a must try crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The service is excellent too attentive, friendly, and everything comes out on time. Definitely one of my favorite spots for a satisfying meal.
Have been searching for vegetarian ramen for a while and decided to drive half way across Tampa Bay tonight to try this place. And it did not disappoint! We had the Wagyu Tonkotsu (for the meat eater) and the Nagoya Tonkotsu Vegetarian Lover (for the vegetarian). Both were delicious! Service was fast, helpful and super friendly, the place is very clean and prices are really good. Also enjoyed my first taste of Ramune, a Japanese soda. We will definitely be back! Update: we did come back! Husband ordered the Pork Chashu Bowl and absolutely loved it. And the veggie ramen was as delicious as I remembered it!
First time customers and we had a great meal! The atmosphere was great. The restaurant was very clean. The food was EXCELLENT!! And the prices were very fair! Michelle was our server and we couldn’t be happier. If every server, in every restaurant, was like Michelle, this world would be a happier place. We now have our go to ramen restaurant in Tampa!
